‘Seven high-profile terrorists arrested,’ says Punjab CTD

LAHORE: The  Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have arrested seven alleged ‘high-profile terrorists’ during intelligence based operations (IBO) across multiple cities in Punjab.

Four of the arrested individuals were apprehended in Multan, two in Gujranwala, and one in Dera Ghazi Khan according to CTD spokesperson who also stated that the suspects are believed to be affiliated with various banned outfits.

The operation also resulted in the seizure of operational material including explosives and cash. 

The CTD has registered cases against the arrested miscreants and has initiated an investigation.
