Terrorist attack on Mianwali training air base thwarted: ISPR

MIANWALI: A planned terrorist attack on the Mianwali training air base was successfully foiled through a swift and effective response by the nation’s security forces, Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Saturday morning.

The statement read, the timely action undertaken by the brave men guarding the air base ensured the safety of vital assets and prevented potential catastrophe. The incident left affected three aircrafts that were already grounded. The fuel bowser was also affected in the thwarted attack.

Three terrorists were killed even before they could enter the airbase, ISPR’s statement said.
