Newly elected Punjab CM announces electric bikes for young women

WEB DESK: The recently elected Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has unveiled a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of Punjab, with a particular focus on improving the health sector and advancing women’s progress.

During a press conference held today, Maryam Nawaz Sharif asserted herself as the voice of those who have endured centuries of oppression.

She expressed her overarching goal to elevate the nation, stating, “The time has come to represent over 120 million people as their prime minister. The doors are open to everyone. Today, as I take the oath, I commit to working tirelessly for the betterment of our country.”

Additionally, Maryam Nawaz Sharif outlined key schemes under her administration. A youth programme will be launched, encompassing interest-free loans, youth training, small business loans, laptops, and IT schemes.

Notably, she has also announced plans to provide electric bikes to youth, with a special emphasis on women.

Education holds a prominent place in Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s agenda, with a commitment to offering excellent education to deserving students at top foreign universities.

Her government plans to kickstart an IT startup programme for freelancers and establish five IT cities, complemented by the provision of free Wi-Fi.

Addressing the issue of corruption, the CM declared zero tolerance in her government. Furthermore, to ensure the safety of women from harassment, she announced the establishment of model women police stations and women desks in every police station.
