KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan rose for the fourth consecutive session on Saturday, mirroring the increase in international rates.

The price of gold per tola in the local market climbed to Rs249,400, marking a single-day increase of Rs400.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grammes of gold also saw an uptick, reaching Rs213,820 after a rise of Rs343. This follows a significant increase on Friday when the price per tola surged by Rs2,200.

On the international front, gold prices continued their upward trajectory on Saturday. The APGJSA reported that the global rate was $2,410 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium, after gaining $6 during the day.

In contrast, silver prices remained stable at Rs2,900 per tola, showing no change from previous rates.

It is worth noting that in April, gold reached an all-time high in the local market at Rs252,200 per tola.

This sustained increase in gold prices highlights the ongoing volatility and demand in both local and international markets.
