Gold price drops by Rs300 per tola from all-time high

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a decline on Friday, following a three-day consecutive increase. This drop was in line with a decrease in international rates.
In the local bullion market, the price of gold fell by Rs300 per tola, settling at Rs276,700. Notably, the latest price is Rs300 per tola lower than the all-time high recorded for the precious metal.
Similarly, the price of 10-gramme gold dropped by Rs256, bringing it to Rs237,226.
Silver prices, once again, remained stable at Rs3,050 per tola.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), gold prices had increased by Rs1,500 on Thursday, reaching a record high of Rs277,000 per tola.
On the international front, gold prices also fell on Friday, with the rate standing at $2,663 per ounce, marking a $2 decrease during the day. To note, this price also includes a premium of $20.
