Gold price rises by Rs300 per tola, reversing Thursday’s loss

KARACHI: After a Rs300 drop on Thursday, gold prices in Pakistan bounced back on Friday, with 24-karat gold now selling at Rs257,700 per tola, marking a Rs300 gain.
Notably, today’s gold price has been kept Rs2,000 below its actual cost.
According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold per 10 grammes rose by Rs256 to reach Rs220,936, while 22-karat gold was priced higher at Rs202,525 per 10 grammes.
Silver prices also saw an increase in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver trading at Rs2,900 per tola, an increase of Rs50, and at Rs2,486 per 10 grammes, up by Rs43.
Internationally, spot gold was trading near $2,464 per ounce, reflecting a $6.4 or 0.26 per cent rise from the previous session.
