Gold price in Pakistan sees big decline following global market

WEB DESK: Gold rates in Pakistan fell on Thursday, tracking the decline in the international market.

After witnessing a decline of Rs2,400, 24-karat gold was priced at Rs211,800 per tola, while 10-gramme gold was sold at Rs181,584 after dropping by Rs2,058.

On the other hand, silver rates remained stable at Rs2,580 per tola.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the decline in gold prices was due to a number of factors, including a strengthening US dollar and rising interest rates.

The APGJSA said that gold prices are likely to remain volatile in the coming days as investors await further developments in the global economy.
