Gold price increases by Rs1,000 to Rs277,400 per tola

KARACHI: Gold prices increased in Pakistan on the second trading day of the week in line with their increase in the global bullion market.
In the Pakistani market, the price of gold increased by Rs1,000 per tola to Rs277,400 after an increase of Rs1,000 on Tuesday.
According to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gramme gold was recorded at Rs237,826 after witnessing a single-day increase of Rs858.
Contrastingly, silver rates were unchanged at Rs3,400 per tola.
In the previous session, the gold price per tola increased by Rs2,000 per tola in the local market.
The international rate of gold surged. Gold’s rate, according to APGJSA, was quoted at $2,662 per ounce (with a premium of $20) after it increased $1.
