Gold price rises by Rs2,300 per tola in local market

KARACHI: Gold prices surged significantly on Thursday, the fourth trading day of the week, following a rise in international market rates.

In the local bullion market, the price of gold per tola reached Rs282,800, marking an increase of Rs2,300, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

This follows a previous day’s increase of Rs3,100 per tola in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, silver rates remained unchanged at Rs3,450 per tola.

The price of 10-gramme gold also rose by Rs1,971, bringing it to Rs242,455. Internationally, the price of gold climbed to $2,716 per ounce, including a $20 premium, after gaining $23 during the day, as per APGJSA.
