Gold loses shine again as per tola rate falls by Rs1,100 in local market


KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan kept falling on the first trading day of the week, following a drop in international rates.

The price for 10 grammes of gold was Rs223,251, which is Rs943 less than before. Meanwhile, the price of one tola of gold in the local market fell by Rs1,100 to Rs260,400.

The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that on Saturday, the price of gold had already dropped by Rs2,000 to Rs261,500.

Silver prices stayed the same at Rs2,850 per tola.

Globally, gold prices also went down. APGJSA said the rate was $2,490 per ounce, with an extra $20 premium, which is a decrease of $7 for the day.
