Gold price touches new heights; reaches Rs 273,000 per tola

KARACHI: Following a decline in the previous session, gold prices in Pakistan surged on Tuesday, mirroring a rise in global markets.
The local market saw a significant increase of Rs 1,100 per tola, bringing the price to Rs 273,000 — a new all-time high for the country.
Gold price per tola decreases Rs 600 in Pakistan
Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold rose by Rs 943, reaching Rs 234,053, according to data provided by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Monday, the price of gold had dropped by Rs 600, settling at Rs 271,900 per tola.
Internationally, the price of gold also climbed on Tuesday. According to the APGJSA, the global rate stood at $2,628 per ounce, including a $20 premium, marking an $11 increase for the day.

In contrast, silver prices remained unchanged, steady at Rs 2,950 per tola. This latest rise comes after gold had previously hit a record high of Rs 272,500 per tola in Pakistan on Saturday.
