Gold prices remain unchanged in Pakistan

KARACHI: On the first trading day of the week, the price of gold in Pakistan remained stable, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs240,300 per tola.

This stability comes despite a notable reduction in purchasing power, which has led gold traders to set prices Rs3,000 below the actual cost.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold stood at Rs206,019 per 10 grammes. Meanwhile, 22-karat gold was priced at Rs188,850 per 10 grammes, maintaining its previous rates.

On the international market, spot gold traded near $2,331.3 per ounce, remaining largely unchanged from the previous session’s close.

Silver prices in Pakistan also remained unchanged, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs2,900 per tola and Rs2,486.28 per 10 grammes.
