Gold price continues record high run with latest Rs300 per tola increase

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trend on Wednesday, achieving a new record in tandem with rising international rates.
In the local market, the price of 24-carat gold per tola increased by Rs300, reaching Rs261,000. This marks the third record high for gold prices within the past month.
The price for 10 grammes of gold was reported at Rs223,765, reflecting a rise of Rs257, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). In contrast, silver prices remained stable at Rs2,950 per tola.
On Tuesday, gold prices had already hit a new peak at Rs260,700, following a Rs700 increase from the previous rate.
Internationally, the price of gold remained steady on Wednesday, with APGJSA reporting a rate of $2,512 per ounce, plus a premium of $20.
