LPG price Pakistan

WEB DESK: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced an increase in the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for August 2024.

The price for consumers has been raised by Rs2.28 per kilogramme, bringing the new rate to Rs236.996 per kilogramme. This represents a slight increase from the previous month’s price of Rs234.717 per kilogramme.

For producers, the LPG price has also been adjusted upwards by the same amount, setting it at Rs195.696 per kilogramme for August. Consequently, the price for an 11.8 kg LPG cylinder has been revised to Rs2,796.56, reflecting an increase of Rs26.90 from the prior rate of Rs2,769.66.

The new producer price for LPG has been set at Rs2,309.22 for the month. This adjustment follows changes in the Saudi Aramco contract price (CP) and fluctuations in the US dollar exchange rate.

The Saudi Aramco-CP has risen by 1.22 per cent compared to last month, while the average dollar exchange rate has decreased by 0.0107 per cent. These factors have contributed to the 0.97 per cent increase in the consumer price of LPG for the 11.8 kg cylinder.
