In response to the escalating challenges posed by increasing inflation, the Utility Stores Corporation has announced significant pay raises for its daily wage employees.
According to reliable sources, adjustments in wages have been proposed to alleviate the financial strain faced by these workers.
Employees with qualifications at the matriculation level or below will see a substantial increase in their daily wages, with a proposed raise of Rs266 per day.
According to ARY News, those holding FA, FSC, and drivers’ positions can expect a daily increment of Rs287. For employees with a B.A., B.Sc., or M.A. degree, the proposed raise stands at Rs308 in their daily wages.
Moreover, individuals with advanced degrees such as MBA, MPA, M.Com, M.Sc., M.Phil., and others are also set to benefit significantly. For this group, a substantial daily raise of Rs399 and Rs531, respectively, has been proposed, reflecting the Utility Stores Corporation’s commitment to recognizing qualifications and expertise.
Approval for these wage increments is currently pending and will be sought from the board of the Utility Stores Corporation. These proposed adjustments aim to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of the daily wage employees while addressing the economic challenges brought about by the prevailing inflationary pressures.
