Petrol price remains unchanged at Rs248.38 per litre for rest of November

Petrol price unchanged

ISLAMABAD: The government has decided not to change the prices of petrol and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) for the next 15 days in the latest fortnightly review.

Earlier, reports suggested that the government would increase the petroleum prices for the remaining two weeks.

As per a notification from the Finance Division, petrol will continue to be priced at Rs248.38 per litre, while HSD will remain at Rs255.14 per litre for the rest of November.

These prices will be in effect from November 16.

The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) determined these prices based on global market trends from the past two weeks.

Previous fortnightly review

It’s worth noting that in the previous 15-day period, the government had raised petrol prices by Rs1.35 per litre, bringing it to Rs248.38.

This increase was largely due to a significant hike in the Inland Freight Equalisation Margin (IFEM), which went up by 112 per cent, from Rs3.72 to Rs7.89 per litre.
