KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) crossed the 87,000 points mark for the first time in history on Wednesday afternoon, when it was seen trading at 87,127.19 points.

PSX hits record high amid growing political stability
Even though some of these gains were lost in the earlier part of the trading day, by 3 PM in the afternoon, the index had added over 600 points to trade above 87,000 points.
Market analysts are attributing the increase to improved investor confidence as a result of the passage of the controversial constitutional amendment and the announcement of the next chief justice of Pakistan.
