PSX surges, nears 93,000 mark with intraday high just 34 points short

KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) opened on a positive note on Wednesday and managed to stay above the 92,000 level during the early trading hours.
The benchmark KSE-100 index reached an intraday and all-time high of 92,966 points (up 662 points from the previous close) at 10:56 AM.
The lowest level before 11:45 AM was recorded at around 9:35 AM, when the PSX stood at 92,489 points (up 662 points from the previous close).
It is worth noting that the KSE-100 Index closed at 92,304.32 on Tuesday, after gaining 366.32 points, or 0.40 per cent.
Considering the intraday high, which was just 34 points short of reaching 93,000, it remains to be seen whether the PSX will breach this level by close and continue its upward trend in the remaining trading hours.
