ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has reduced prices for Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) by up to 7.11 per cent for October 2024, in line with the Federal Government’s policy.
This decrease is largely driven by the global decline in LNG prices, particularly the drop in the Delivered Ex-Ship (DES) price.
As per OGRA’s notification, the updated RLNG prices for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) are as follows:
For SNGPL, the transmission price is now $12.0714 per MMBtu, down 6.57 per cent from September’s $12.9208. The distribution price has also been lowered to $12.9393 per MMBtu, reflecting a 6.62 per cent reduction from $13.8560 last month.
For SSGC, the transmission price has dropped 7.10 per cent to $10.9238 per MMBtu from $11.7589 in September, while the distribution price has decreased 7.11 per cent to $12.4658 per MMBtu from the previous $13.4205.
This reduction is expected to provide relief to consumers as energy prices adjust to the changing global market conditions.
