Sazgar launches PHEV lineup, H6 PHEV pre booking started

KARACHI: Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (SAZEW)  has announced the official launch of its Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) lineup of its existing H6 model and two more variants namely Tank 500 and Cannon Alpha.

In a notice to exchange Monday the company confirmed the commencement of pre-bookings for ‘HAVAL H6 Hi4 1.5L AT AWD Turbo PHEV’, with vehicle roll out from Aug 2025. The company has set price of Haval H6 PHEV at Rs12.895mn, which is 9.7% higher than its HEV version price of Rs11.75mn.

The H6 is already an established and growing model in Pakistan, and the upcoming PHEV variant will further boost its appeal and sales momentum, Topline Securities maintained.

Further, In addition to the Haval H6, Sazgar has disclosed plans to introduce two more PHEV models which will be launched before Mar 2026.

The Tank-500 Hi4-T 4X4 2.0L Turbo AT PHEV, a full-size luxury SUV offering robust off-road capabilities paired with electrified performance.

The Cannon Alpha Hi4-T 4X4 2.0L Turbo AT PHEV, a plug-in hybrid pickup truck designed for utility and fuel efficiency.

The Tank 500 model is full size SUV which will compete with Land Cruisers and will be an upgrade for Toyota fortuner users, as per Topline Securities view.

While Cannon Alpha is pick up truck which will compete with Toyota Hilux, BYD Shark and JAC Hunter.

In a recent Topline note published on Jul 14, 2025, titled “SAZEW: 4QFY25 EPS likely at Rs75/share, up 30% YoY; Earnings revised up by 14% for FY27-29F”,  We increased our monthly sales forecast for the company amidst these expected developments.
