Bachchan, Shah Rukh and Ranveer eyed for Don 3

WEB DESK: Speculation over Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 continues to grip Bollywood, with Ranveer Singh confirmed in the lead role while casting rumours swirl around the rest of the ensemble.

As per Bollywood Hungama, Sharvari might replace Kiara Advani in Don 3 and star opposite Ranveer Singh. Reports say that Kiara left the project due to her pregnancy (she is now the mother of a baby girl) and to prioritize her health.

A fresh report claims that two legends of the franchise, Amitabh Bachchan, who played the original Don in 1978 and Shah Rukh Khan, who reprised the role in Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011), have been approached to share screen space with Ranveer Singh.

An industry insider quoted by India Today said both actors are currently considering the offer.

If the deal goes through, it would mark the first time Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Ranveer Singh appear together on screen, a crossover moment uniting three generations of actors and heightening fan excitement.

Don 3 has been the subject of constant speculation for months. Rumours earlier claimed Farhan Akhtar had also approached Priyanka Chopra Jonas for a role, while Shah Rukh Khan’s possible return in some capacity kept fans guessing.

According to a report in India Today, Don 3 may feature a high-energy track similar to ‘Aaj Ki Raat’, the iconic nightclub sequence from Don (2006) starring Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Isha Koppikar. The new version might feature Kriti Sanon.

Actor Vikrant Massey has confirmed his exit, and names such as Aditya Roy Kapur and Vijay Deverakonda have surfaced as contenders for the villain’s role.

With every casting update, anticipation for the film grows, especially as reports of Bachchan and Khan potentially rejoining the franchise alongside Ranveer Singh fuel hopes for a blockbuster revival of the iconic series.
