LAHORE: Pakistan Television’s well-known actress Mawra Hocane has rejected rumours about her being pregnant.
Sharing pictures in an Instagram post, she wrote, “The rumours are not true. Let me enjoy my ‘dam naal dam bharn gi’ era.”
According to reports, the actress recently attended an event where her photos and videos went viral on social media.
This sparked speculation among users, leading to rumours that she was expecting.
Mawra married her co-star Ameer Gilani in February.
Photos on Instagram showed the couple in wedding attire, with Mawra captioning the post, “And in the middle of chaos, I found you,” followed by a brief prayer and the hashtag #MawraAmeerHogayi.
Mawra and Ameer have shared the screen in several projects, including the drama serials Sabaat and Neem.

Mawra recently played a leading role in drama Jafa which highlighted the various layers of domestic violence.
In an interview with “Something Haute”, Mawra had shared that her performance resonated deeply with many of her friends and colleagues from the entertainment industry.
“After watching “Jafa”, several of my self-sufficient friends reflected on their relationships and told me my role accurately portrayed how some husbands behave with their wives,” she said.
The actress explained that her character represented a highly educated, independent woman working as a doctor, who, despite her autonomy, becomes a victim of her husband’s abuse. “He takes her for granted, thinking she is the only person he can dominate,” Mawra said, emphasising the deliberate nature of such behaviour.
Away from acting, Mawra turned entrepreneur in 2022 when she and her sister Urwa launched a clothing brand. Playing on their surname, they introduced the motivational hashtag #WHOCAN. The label offers everything from casual western outfits to festive traditional wear and stylish accessories, aiming to bring their sisterly bond into fashion.
