Millie Bobby Brown shared an emotional note on Wednesday, just hours after Netflix released the first batch of episodes from the final season of Stranger Things.

The 21-year-old actress thanked the show’s creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, for giving her the role of Eleven and for believing in her from the very beginning.

“This show has given me so much, but most importantly the most meaningful story to tell as El,” she wrote on Instagram.

Brown went on to thank the Duffer brothers “for taking a chance on everything you shouldn’t have wanted from a British girl with a huge family, a lot of energy and a strong point of view, but a heart that would work tirelessly for the character you built.”

“Enjoy Volume 1, folks,” she added.

The actress also posted two photos with the Duffer brothers, one taken during the filming of Season 1 and another from Season 5, reflecting on her journey with the series over the years.

When are the next episodes of Stranger Things 5 releasing?

Netflix will release the second batch of episodes from Season 5 on December 25, while the series finale will arrive on December 31.

Brown stars in the final season alongside Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson and Joe Keery as the hit sci-fi horror series comes to a close.
