Taylor Swift's new album announcement sends fans in a frenzy

WEB DESK: Taylor Swift sent her fans into a frenzy late Monday night after announcing her upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.

The announcement came during a preview clip for the “New Heights” podcast, hosted by NFL brothers Travis and Jason Kelce.

In the clip, Taylor held up the album, its cover art blurred, telling viewers, “This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl.” Jason screamed in excitement while Travis enthusiastically declared, “TS 12!”

While Swift kept the track list under wraps, she gave subtle clues through a newly curated Spotify playlist titled, And, baby, that’s show business for you ❤️🔥.

The playlist featured 22 of her past hits, including Bad Blood, Blank Space, Gorgeous, I Knew You Were Trouble, and Style. All the tracks were co-produced with Max Martin and Shellback, sparking speculation that they may be heavily involved in the new album.

Fans also noticed a fresh green-and-orange logo tied to the playlist, which appeared on Spotify billboards in New York City and Nashville. Many believe the playlist title itself could be a lyric from the upcoming album.

Swift’s official website revealed the album title and colour theme, along with pre-order options for vinyl, cassette, and CD formats. The exact release date remains unconfirmed, but orders are expected to ship before October 13.

The full reveal is set for Wednesday when Taylor appears on the New Heights podcast. For now, Swifties are decoding Easter eggs and gearing up for what could be a return to her signature pop sound.
