Maryam Nawaz’s son

ISLAMABAD: Junaid Safdar, the 28-year-old son of Pakistan Muslim League’s senior leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has done away with his business in London by officially dissolved his company registered two years ago in the UK.

In October 2021, Junaid Safdar established a firm named The Isle & Victoria Limited with the UK Companies House, following the completion of his higher studies in the United Kingdom.

The company, registered at “Flat 16 Avenfield House 118 Park Lane Greater London W1K 7AF,” was initiated as part of his business plan while still a student, according to confirmation by his family to the Hum Investigation Team.

The details of the company’s business scope and financial status during its operational period remain unclear. The UK Companies House, responding to a request from the Hum Investigation Team, provided a certified copy of the company profile, indicating an initial shareholding of only one British pound. Junaid Safdar was listed as holding 75% or more of the shares and voting rights in the company.

Notably, the company’s sole director changed the business address last year, as revealed by the records. The company was dissolved abruptly in November 2023.

Both the UK authorities and Junaid’s family confirmed the establishment of the firm when contacted by the Hum Investigation Team.

In response to inquiries about the purpose of establishing the company and its business activities, a family member spoke on behalf of Junaid Safdar, stating, “Junaid established a company in London to gain practical experience. However, he decided to move back to Pakistan and dissolved the company. The company never engaged in any form of business, was dissolved with zero financial input and output, and will not be revived, as Junaid has permanently moved back to Pakistan.”
