LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued no-objection certificates (NOCs) to 13 players to participate in the 2026 Global Super League, which will be held in Guyana from July 23 to August 1.

The board said that the NOCs would allow the players to take part in the third edition of the Twenty20 tournament, which will be played at Providence Stadium in Guyana.

The players granted permission are Mohammad Haris, Shahab Khan, Mohammad Naeem, Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Farooq, Farhan Yousaf, Shamyl Hussain, Mehran Mumtaz, Usman Khan, Ali Shabbir, Mohammad Imran, Mohammad Basit and Khalil Ahmed.

The PCB said that the move was aimed at providing national players with opportunities to compete in international franchise leagues and support their professional development.

Pakistan Super League franchise Lahore Qalandars will represent Pakistan in the five-team tournament, alongside hosts Guyana Amazon Warriors and three other franchise champions from overseas leagues.

Organised by Cricket West Indies, the Global Super League brings together champion teams from leading domestic T20 competitions.

The tournament’s third edition will be staged at Providence Stadium, with five franchises competing for the title.

The inaugural edition was held in November and December 2024, when Bangladesh’s Rangpur Riders defeated Australia’s Victoria by 56 runs in the final.

Guyana Amazon Warriors won the second edition in July 2025, beating Rangpur Riders by 32 runs in the final.
