16-year-old housemaid allegedly raped, poisoned to death in Karachi

KARACHI: A 16-year-old housemaid named Sonia was allegedly raped and poisoned to death by her employers, in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal area.

The body of the deceased,  ho worked as a housemaid in a bungalow located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal 13-C, was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medical examination.

In her statement to the police, the victim’s mother said that Sonia had gone to work on Sunday morning as usual. However, upon her return, her condition had deteriorated significantly. The family rushed her to JPMC for medical treatment,

The police are investigating the case.
