5.1-magnitude earthquake jolts Quetta, parts of Balochistan

QUETTA: An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted Quetta and several other parts of Balochistan on Friday, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre.

The earthquake’s epicentre was located about 60 km from Kohlu at a depth of 17 km, the centre said.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage. Authorities were assessing the situation.
