Ali Wazir rearrested

PESHAWAR: Police have arrested former member of National Assembly and Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader Ali Wazir from Dera Ismail Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to police sources, Ali Wazir reached DI Khan last night from Balochistan.

Police said Ali Wazir was arrested in connection with a case registered at Sadar Police Station in DI Khan.

The former MNA was also arrested in August after he addressed a PTM rally in Islamabad. Videos circulating on social media showed him criticising the authorities over enforced disappearances.
