Another World Cup upset: Netherlands beat South Africa

WEB DESK: In a second World Cup 2023 upset Netherlands on Tuesday beat South Africa by 39 runs, in the 15th match of the tournament played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala.

The Netherlands scored 245/8 with the match reduced to 43 overs a side due to rain. Earlier, South Africa won the toss and opted to bowl first.

World Cup upset: Afghanistan beat England by 69 runs

Earlier on Sunday, Afghanistan defeated defending champions England by 69 runs on Sunday.

In pursuit of a 285-run target, England’s innings crumbled at 215 in just 40.3 overs, succumbing to the  Afghan spin attack, led by Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman, both of whom clinched three wickets each.
