Anti-terrorism court grants police permission to interrogate Fawad Chaudhary

LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday authorised the police to question Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhary in connection to four cases.
The decision was made by ATC Judge Naveed Iqbal after hearing the police’s request.

The former Minister of Information and Broadcasting will be interrogated in connection to the burning of containers at Kalma Chowk in Lahore and an arson incident in Zaman Park, Lahore.
The investigation officers also stated that the PTI leader was allegedly involved in two cases of torching police vehicles during the May 9 violence.
The investigation team will now interrogate Fawad Chaudhary in Adiala jail, Rawalpindi where he is currently held.
