WEB DESK: Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has accused the Joint Action Committee of being involved in an India-backed propaganda campaign, claiming that a disinformation network linked to India was working against Pakistan.

Addressing the nation, Atta Tarar said security forces had arrested an individual involved in spreading misleading information. He alleged that propaganda was being spread against Pakistan and its institutions through social media platforms.

The minister claimed that attempts were being made to create unrest in Kashmir by promoting groups that took the law into their own hands. He said evidence of Indian funding and links with the banned Joint Action Committee had surfaced.

Atta Tarar further said that Pakistan had achieved success against India on both military and diplomatic fronts, adding that several Indian social media accounts involved in spreading anti-state narratives had been identified.
