Currently standing at 3,955 runs according to the ESPN cricinfo, he requires just 45 more runs to achieve the latest milestone.

Ranked third in batting by the ICC, Babar also holds the 109th position globally as an all-rounder. With a batting average of 45.85 and an impressive strike rate of 54.86, he has proven to be one of the greatest batters in the sport’s history.

He currently trails behind Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma on the list of highest T20I run-scorers and needs 82 more runs to surpass Kohli’s total.

Recently, Babar made history by setting a world record for the most successful T20I captain with 45 wins to his name.

Some of his other records includes the fourth-highest career batting average globally in ODIs. Similarly, he stands as the second player to achieve most centuries in consecutive innings. He also holds the record for the fastest 5,000 runs in ODIs.

Meanwhile, within T20, he holds the distinction of the highest career batting average. Babar holds the record for the most runs in T20 internationals. His also boasts the highest number of centuries in his T20 career.

Even as a captain, Babar holds the record for the most consecutive matches as captain in T20 cricket.

As Pakistan gears up to face England in the first match of a four-game T20I series at Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds, all eyes will be on Babar to reach yet another milestone.
