Balochistan announces summer vacations for schools

QUETTA: The Balochistan government on Tuesday announced summer vacations for schools, following similar decisions by Punjab and Sindh amid rising temperatures.

According to a notification issued by the Balochistan government, summer holidays in government schools across the province will begin on May 23 and continue until July 31.

A day earlier, Sindh’s education department announced that summer vacations for all public and private schools in the province would be observed from June 1 to July 31.

Punjab also announced summer holidays for schools across the province.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said in a social media post that schools in the province would close for summer vacations from May 22 and reopen on Aug. 24.
