Ban on meetings in Adiala jail for three days

RAWALPINDI: Meetings with prisoners at Adiala Jail have been restricted for a period of three days, attributing the decision to ‘security concerns’.

As per Geo Urdu, the jail the restriction on meetings with prisoners will remain in effect until midnight on May 15.

The decision to impose this restriction was made following a directive from the Inspector General of Prisons.

Sources have revealed that the administration has been instructed to conduct searches around the jail premises and to conduct emergency drills inside the jail to handle any unforeseen incidents. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his spouse, Bushra Bibi, are among those detained at Adiala Jail.
