ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered the transfer of Bushra Bibi to Adiala Jail.

This decision comes as the court announced the reserved verdict on Bushra Bibi’s plea to transfer her from Bani Gala sub-jail to Adiala jail. The court also invalidated the notification that designated Bani Gala as a sub-jail.

IHC reserves verdict on Bushra Bibi’s plea for moving her to Adiala Jail

On Thursday, the IHC had reserved its decision on the plea by Bushra Bibi seeking a transfer to Adiala jail from the Bani Gala sub-jail. “It appears that the decision to relocate Bushra Bibi to Bani Gala had been predetermined. If I am forcibly confined to my home, I would be deeply pleased. How can a prisoner’s property be converted into a sub-jail against his or her will,” Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb had said at the time.

In her petition, Bushra Bibi had requested the court to transfer her because she did not feel safe to be confined alone in the premises of the sub-jail.
