BSEK announces matric results with 84pc pass rate

				        KARACHI: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) on Wednesday announced the results of the annual matriculation examinations (SSC Part 2) for the Science Group, with a pass percentage of 83.93.
BSEK Chairman Ghulam Hussain Sohoo congratulated the position holders, saying transparency in results remained the board’s top priority.
According to the results, 173,738 candidates were registered for this year’s Science Group exams, of whom 172,391 appeared, while 1,347 were absent.

A total of 27,244 students failed to clear the exams.
In the Science Group, Anna Farooqui of Montessori Complex High School, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, secured first position with 94.73 per cent marks.
Wania Noor of Pioneer Grammar Secondary School, Islam Nagar, Orangi Town, stood second with 94.09pc.
The third position was shared by Syed Azkaar Hussain Rizvi of Civil Aviation Model School, Airport, and Umaima Zafar of The Smart School, Rifah Aam Campus, Malir Halt, both scoring 94pc.
Of the 172,391 candidates, 90,740 were boys and 82,998 were girls. Among the successful students, 30,154 obtained an A-1 grade, 50,346 secured an A, 39,691 got a B, 20,614 a C, 3,841 a D, and 35 students received an E grade.

Girls clinch top positions in BIEK results 2025
On August 9, the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) announced the results of the 2025 annual intermediate pre-medical group examinations, with all top three positions secured by female students.
BIEK chairman Faqeer Muhammad Lakho said the group’s overall pass percentage stood at 56.99.

A total of 28,259 candidates registered for the exams, of which 27,323 appeared and 15,582 passed.
A levels results for June 2025 session
Earlier in the day, Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) released the results for the June 2025 exams series, with Cambridge International AS and A Level results available from August 12.
The Cambridge IGCSE and O Levels results will be released on August 19.
In Pakistan, over a hundred thousand candidates sat for the Cambridge exams in the June 2025 session. The O Levels and A Levels have been integral to the country’s education landscape for decades.
