LONDON: Cambridge has postponed the AS Level Mathematics Paper 32 scheduled for May 15, according to an official statement.
The Mathematics paper was postponed as a precautionary measure, the Cambridge statement said.
The new examination date will be announced on May 22, the statement added, adding that the postponed paper was AS Mathematics 9709 Paper 32.
Cambridge International has also launched an investigation into the alleged leak of an A-level mathematics exam paper for the June 2026 session, as Pakistan’s education authorities sought answers and students voiced concern over the integrity of the examination system.
In a statement, Cambridge said it was examining reports that the paper, part of the Mathematics (9709) exam, had been shared ahead of the scheduled test across multiple regions, including Africa, Europe, the Middle East and South Asia.
“We are investigating how widely the paper was shared,” the body said, adding it would update students and exam centres on its findings by May 7, 2026. It said action would be taken against any centres or candidates found to be involved in malpractice.
The AS and A Level results release date of August 11 will remain unchanged, the administration confirmed.
During the examination season, an unusual number of paper leak incidents have been reported, said the Country Director.
In Karachi, some elements are trying to damage the examination system and students’ future, said Uzma Yusuf, adding that legal action is being taken to stop and punish those responsible.
In Karachi, the A Level Mathematics paper scheduled for May 12 was shared ahead of time, according to Cambridge administration.
