CDA sets up helpline to address water accumulation related complaints

ISLAMABAD: In response to heavy rainfall causing water accumulation in Islamabad, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has taken proactive steps to address citizen complaints by establishing a dedicated helpline.

Under the directive of Chairman CDA, Capt Anwar ul Haq, teams from the CDA, MCI, and ICT have been actively engaged in managing the situation. They have swiftly responded to reports of standing water in different areas and ensured the clearance of water on highways.

Special measures have been implemented on highways to maintain traffic flow and prevent congestion, as instructed by the CDA administration. Joint teams from CDA, MCI, and ICT have been deployed throughout the city, including housing societies and low-lying regions, to provide assistance such as deploying dewatering pumps to drain water from residential properties.

To ensure efficient management during rainy conditions, staff holidays have been canceled, and duties have been assigned to personnel at various intervals. Additionally, stringent monitoring of low-lying areas is being maintained to address any emerging issues promptly.
