Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meet for Zil Hajj moon sighting

KARACHI: A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is underway in Karachi for the sighting of the Zil Hajj moon.

Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad is presiding over the session.

According to the Meteorological Department, sunset in Karachi will occur at 7.10pm.

The Met Office said the moon will remain visible for 55 minutes, while weather conditions in the city are clear.

It added that there is a possibility of the moon being sighted in Karachi.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will make the final announcement regarding the sighting of the Zil Hajj moon.
