Channing Tatum hospitalised after serious shoulder injury, warns recovery will be ‘hard’

Channing Tatum has revealed he is recovering in hospital after undergoing surgery for a serious shoulder injury, sharing candid updates that suggest a difficult recovery ahead.

The 45-year-old actor posted a series of Instagram Stories showing black-and-white X-rays of his injured shoulder. One image appeared to show the joint stabilised with a surgical nail, accompanied by the caption: “Screwed shoulder. Yay.”

In a separate black-and-white photograph shared to his Instagram grid on February 3, Tatum was seen lying in a hospital bed wearing a gown and surgical cap as he prepared for surgery.

“Just another day. Another challenge,” he wrote alongside the image. “This one is gonna be hard. But whatever. Let’s get it in.”

Cause of injury not disclosed

Tatum did not say how the injury occurred. The actor is known for physically demanding roles, having broken out in the dance-heavy Step Up and most recently starring in Roofman, which features several stunt-heavy sequences.
