CTD arrests three terrorists in Punjab IBOs

LAHOR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested three terrorists including a key Daesh commander in 78 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted across the province and recovered bombs, explosives and other material used in terrorist activities.
A spokesman of CTD said on Saturday, that in the wake of threats of terrorism, operations were conducted in various cities including Faisalabad, Jhelum and Chakwal.
He said that key Daesh commanders among three terrorists Abdul Wahab, Saifullah and Khurram Abbas were arrested. The detainees wanted to terrify the people through terrorist activities.
The CTD recovered explosives, three detonators, 8 feet safety fuse wire, two IED bombs, arms, cell phones and cash from possession of the nabbed terrorists.

The spokesman said that 506 suspects were arrested and 32056 people investigated in 952 combing operations during the ongoing week. He said that the CTD was committed to achieving the target of safe Punjab and to root out the menace of terrorism. INP
