Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton just gave Harry Potter fans the moment they have been waiting more than a decade for.
The former co-stars reunited on Monday, 1 December, at a New York City screening of Merrily We Roll Along, the filmed capture of the Stephen Sondheim revival starring Radcliffe. The pair shared a warm hug inside the Hudson Theatre before posing for their first public photo together since 2011.
The last time Radcliffe and Felton were photographed at an event was the New York premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 in July 2011, which makes this reunion a major nostalgia moment for longtime fans.
Tom Felton is currently performing as Draco Malfoy on Broadway
Felton is now starring on Broadway in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, where he reprises his role as Draco Malfoy. The production has been a major box office draw and follows the next generation of Hogwarts families as Harry and Draco’s sons confront the legacy of the wizarding war.
Audiences get a special moment each night when Felton recreates his famous on-screen line, “Scared, Potter?”, before the on-stage duel.
Radcliffe has not yet seen Felton’s performance but recently said he was touched to hear Felton credit him as a source of inspiration to pursue theatre.
Radcliffe continues his own stage success
Radcliffe, now a Tony winner, will return to the stage next year in the Broadway premiere of Every Brilliant Thing. Previews begin on 21 February 2026 at the Hudson Theatre, with a limited engagement through May.
Until then, fans can see Radcliffe in the filmed version of Merrily We Roll Along, which arrives in cinemas on 5 December.
The reunion of the two actors, who first met while filming Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone 24 years ago, has sparked a wave of nostalgia online, with fans celebrating their long-running friendship.
