WEB DESK: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, has reaffirmed the country’s active role in facilitating dialogue between Iran and the United States.

During a high-level review of regional developments on Saturday, the Foreign Minister emphasised that Islamabad is committed to supporting these talks to ensure peace and stability “in the region and beyond.”

Commitment to Regional Stability

Dar noted that Pakistan remains dedicated to its efforts as a diplomatic bridge, viewing the reduction of tensions between Tehran and Washington as a priority for global security.

He reiterated that the government will continue to provide the necessary platform for engagement, highlighting Pakistan’s unique position in navigating complex regional geopolitics to prevent further escalation.

Warning Against Media Speculation

Addressing the sensitivity of these diplomatic efforts, the Foreign Minister underlined that official policy statements are only those issued through formal government channels.

He cautioned that reports citing “unnamed sources” or anonymous officials do not reflect Pakistan’s official position.

Dar urged both print and electronic media to avoid speculative reporting and to rely strictly on verified information to maintain the integrity of the mediation process.
