DHA Phase-5 will face 48-hour gas shutdown

ISLAMABAD: Residents of DHA Phase-5 Islamabad and surrounding areas will face a gas outage for two days starting from January 1, according to the Sui Northern Gas Pipe Lines Limited (SNGPL).
The gas suspension is due to the relocation of a 16-inch diameter gas pipeline near DHA Phase 5, Islamabad, which will take place from 8 am on January 1 to 8 am on January 2, said SNGPL spokesperson Shahad Ikram.
The affected areas include DHA Phase 2 Extension, DHA Valley, Japan Road, and affiliated regions such as Naval Anchorage, Jinnah Garden, Phag Panwal, Hiran Mehra, Koral, Dakhli Mehra, Kak Pul to Sahala Railway Crossing Area, Kalar Sayedan, Rawat, Baga Sheikhan, Chak Beli Road, Islamabad Expressway, and adjacent localities.
Gas supply halted to CNG stations, industries in Sindh for two days
Ikram advised the consumers to arrange alternative fuel sources for the duration of the gas outage and to ensure that all gas appliances are switched off to avoid any mishaps. He also requested the public to cooperate with the SNGPL during this period.
