ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Tuesday approached the Supreme Court of Pakistan for bail.

In his plea, the PTI president said that he was granted protective bail by a single bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC). However, a division bench of the same court suspended the protective bail order on an appeal of the Punjab government.

Furthermore, the former chief minister Punjab stated that he was being politically  victimised. The plea has requested the Supreme Court to nullify the LHC division bench’s order.
