Esha Deol pens emotional tribute to father Dharmendra

WEB DESK: Actor Esha Deol has shared a deeply emotional note in memory of her father, legendary Bollywood star Dharmendra, expressing her grief, gratitude and enduring bond with him.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Esha wrote that her connection with her father transcends lifetimes, calling it their “strongest bond”. “We are always together, papa be it heaven or earth. We are one,” she said, adding that she now carries him “tenderly, carefully and preciously” in her heart for the rest of her life.

Reflecting on her childhood and the values instilled in her, Esha recalled the “magical, precious memories” her father left behind from life lessons and guidance to the warmth and unconditional love he showed her. “The dignity and the strength you have given me as your daughter cannot be replaced or matched by any other,” she wrote.

She described missing Dharmendra “painfully”, remembering his protective hugs, his reassuring hands and the endless conversations, laughter and poetry they shared. His motto “always be humble, be happy, healthy and strong” is a principle she vowed to uphold.

Esha concluded her tribute by promising to continue her father’s legacy “with pride and respect” and to share his love with the millions who admired him. “I love you, papa,” she wrote, signing off as “Your Esha, your Bittu.”
