Ex-ANP senator Zahid Khan set to join PML-N

ISLAMABAD: Former senator Zahid Khan, who recently parted ways with the Awami National Party (ANP), has said that he has decided to join the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Talking to Geo News from Peshawar, Zahid Khan said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally invited him to join the PML-N over the phone.
Khan also said that during a meeting in London, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif also asked him to join the party.

Khan recounted his conversation with Shehbaz Sharif, telling him that he has quit politics.
He said that but the prime minister asked him to remain active in politics saying, “People like you should not quit politics.”
Zahid Khan cited differences with the ANP leadership as a reason for his decision to join PML-N.
According to sources, he is set to make a formal announcement tomorrow in his hometown of Adigram, Dir. Federal Minister Amir Muqam is expected to visit him tomorrow.
