Faisal Vawda says PTI’s tone will determine the response

ISLAMABAD: Senator Faisal Vawda has said that the tone adopted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will determine the kind of response it receives.

Speaking on HUM News’ programme “Faisla Aap Ka,” Senator Vawda said, “We were removed because we were loyal. Any meeting with the PTI founder should always be pursued through political channels, and it is the right of his sisters to meet him to inquire about his wellbeing.”

He added that he has always tried to strengthen democracy and create political pathways. “I told Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi not to come to Adiala on Tuesday. He did not come, so the meeting happened.”

Vawda reiterated that no statements against the state or its institutions will be tolerated. “Whatever tone PTI adopts, the response will be accordingly. We want them to engage in politics and find a way forward,” he said.

He further said that all individuals involved in crimes, including those responsible for the events of May 9, will be brought back. He added that the court has clearly ruled that government machinery cannot be used for political purposes. “Whoever speaks against Pakistan or its institutions, we have a mechanism to deal with them as well,” he said.
