Families of Hattar tragedy victims receive Rs2mln each: How much the injured ones?

HARIPUR: The federal government on Wednesday distributed cheques among those who either who injured or had dead due to the Hattar tragedy occurred due to a gas pipeline explosion which led to a devastating fire.

The cheques included Rs2 million for the families of the individuals who were deceased and Rs0.1 million each to the injured. The cheque distribution ceremony was held at the Deputy Commissioner Office Haripur.

The ceremony was attended by the PML-N central leader Captain (Rtrd) Safdar Awan and Haripur MNA Babar Nawaz Khan. The distributed relief cheques among the victims of the Hattar tragedy were on behalf of the federal government.

The ceremony was also attended by several members of both civil and political background which also included former provincial minister Asad Khan, former Tehsil Chairman Samiullah Khan, MPA Shazia Jadun, PML-N District President Sahibzada Shah and others.

Participants also offered prayers for the martyrs of the Hattar tragedy and for the peace, stability, and prosperity of the country.
